He's back... OK, so Robosapien didn't actually go anywhere. But, well he's sporting a new silver / chrome suit and he looks pretty darn sexy. This style of the popular Sapien is called the 'Signature Series'. That's because it's creator, robo-boffin Mark W. Tilden, has lovingly signed his leg.
The all new metallic Robosapien does everything that the original does (see our Robosapien Review) but this is a special version, from Sharper Image, that reminds us a bit of terminator. But fear not. Robosapien is here for our pleasure - not on a mission from the future to kill your children. Well, not as far as we know anyway.
Despite his tough exterior, RoboSapien loves to entertain. I fact, if you must know, he's a bit of a party animal. If you thought it would be odd to see a robot dance, wait until you see what this robobotic creation gets up to. With Robosapien comes a cool little controller with. With it you can make him perform over 65 actions which range from outright hilarious to downright peculiar. As you'll probably know, the great thing about the Robosapien robot toys is that there's a lot more to them than pointing a radio control thing at him and saying 'right, now do this'. There really are too many features to list here, but suffice to say that this is one futuristic metal dude*. He can respond to music or 'feel' with his built in touch sensors. And at over 12 inches tall, he's more than a match for any household pets. Although I don't think my cat saw the funny side of Robosapien's perfectly-executed karate kick... * Apologies. I saw Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure at a very impressionable age. [ More Information On The Signature RoboSapien ] |
